Hello folks. I am beginning to understand some of the ways of the graphic arts.
So here is my latest endeavor. It's a sprite edit of my original edit of Mr. Zero's Freddy Krueger (who would have thought).
The first step was to scale him up 200% to make him a hi-res sprite.
Then I got rid of his queer-stance by rotating his torso. He now has a very Nightmare on Elm Street 4 stance, ie the fight in the church.
Then I took his right arm and bent it a little and I proceeded to make his glove as movie-accurate as possible, adding all the little joints and rivets.
Then I took his left hand and made it flesh-tone and detailed it up a bit.
I used "Smudge Stick" in Gimp to make everything so smooth and silky.
Here's what they look like side by side.
I scaled up the original 200% for comparison purposes. The edit is full sized.
As you can see, my new edit is shorter. I made a bunch of little adjustments here and there relating to proportion. Unfortunately it shrunk him. :'(
He definitely not done. I wanna make his face look more like Robert Englund as opposed to this generic Freddy look he has now. And I also need to strategically make him taller w/o scaling. He's about 8 - 10 pixels too short.
EDIT: Here...I fixed the size problem.
I had to widen him out a bit so he didn't look to lanky. Now he has less of a part 4 look and more of a dumpy part 1 look.
Anyway, what do you think?
Here's some of my other little things I've done.
