Chars in folders
« on: November 29, 2009, 12:27:38 PM »
I want to have my chars in sub folders (i.e. Marvel, DC, etc.) to keep them organized, but how do I list them in my select file to be recognized? Or do the chars have to be directly in the chars folder?

any help is appreciated.

Folder name/character folder name/character definition name, stages/stage name.def, includestage=0, order=0

Do not put .def after the characters definition name.

Thanks... I was missing the character folder name...

was putting "chars/Marvel/Spider-Man"

when I should be putting "chars/Marvel/Spider-Man/Spider-Man"

hopefully this works.

includestage=0 means that its random stage, right?

nope.

what happens is if you put a stage on a character it will be added to the list of selectable stage.
You put that so that it wont be added to the list.

You really want this if you have you stages already organized in the extra stage section of the select.def.
or else you may end up with 2 of the same stage.
