of course it would never happen since people have their egos when it comes to mugen. Im just saying it would be cool/great to have a universal standard that applies to everyone

there is as a community. its just those few that come to the community just like any other with plans to benefit. Technically most of the creators that make mugen items dont own them unless they are hand made and coded from scratch. meaning original character not using sprites from a game company and stages not using pictures found on the net.

Egos? YOU STUPID MUGEN N00B!   JK

But really yeah it would be truly awesome :) but there is no way to enforce something with just a "community" we aren't a country or something

I wouldnt feel right calling it a constitution either seeing as I live in American and all I see is a control factor. And the fact I know that most of the fore fathers were dirty sex and drug indulging low lifes. But those were the days.

 LOL

yea, not gonna try and approach other forums about this.

why, because other stuff to worry about is more important (like working on chars and projects) and you'll never get everyone to agree on one thing...would just invite conflict.

no one REEAALLY has has the right since no one pays for anything as far as mugen goes. The reason I mention it is because I feel that with a universal standard of what is and is not acceptable would cut down on all this drama.

Its just a thought not something to actually be implemented

Plus chances are that the more rigid creative teams would try to dominate their philosophy of creation. People that want to learn by playing with FF, and edits would be outcast, and guys like me would rebell, and flame wars would ensue.

Years ago most sites were more rigid, and community rules were attempted to be enforced. Several of us fought toothe, and nail to make Mugen more liberal, and stop single minded people from discouraging new posters from experimenting, and creating.

hhhmmm

My views on this have changed since I first heard about mugen....

Now that I'm a Creator my self i know know what kind of hard work goes into creating...

Tho's that don't create  have no idea what goes into making a character or a stage or a screenpack.

so i feel there should be a level of respect for creators.

if they can take all this time to create something for you to have fun with.... then you should have the respect to ask to use there creation..

this is a hobbie.... and everyone of us do it because it's fun... the day it stops being fun for me is the day Sic-1 will no longer be in mugen.
