Offline characters in the database
« on: June 10, 2009, 08:38:52 PM »
Is it considered warehousing if post mediafire links to offline characters?

Should they remain as request only?

Well, I know for a fact that posting XCB's Rogue is not cool as someone said he has that character offline for a reason.

And for all I know, there are other chars offline for similar reasons. Hence this question.

we have a few members here with chars considered request only in the database, let me talk to them first as i want to do all at the same time.

however, XCB's rogue and slotman's chars will definitely stay as request only.

Character Database has some alterations due to thinking of making mediafire links to some characters per this discussion, and wanted to add a quick website reference entry for multiple characters.

Check it out at:
http://cvgunited.com/index.php/board,20.0.html

Mainly referring to the Quick Database section regarding the info discussed.

Considering there we no objections to the talk of direct mediafire links for some of offline characters as discussed in this topic, there have been wholesale changes in the Quick Database Reference Chart.

You will now find listings for:
Beast by Slotman and Acey
Captain Atom
Colossus by Loki
Doomsday
Fire
Firestar
Gambit by Camrat
Havok
All Spawns listed
Martian Manhunter
Jean Grey
Dark Phoenix
2 versions of JSA Flash
Masta Gambit v1.0 by M:Ken
Omega Red by XsLaught
Polaris
Psylocke by WhiteMagic
Storm by WhiteMagic
Sabretooth by Jin Kazeema
Sentinel by ER
Super Skrull
War Machine by WarmachineX
Zatanna

The following characters will remain request only:
Rogue by XCB
Batman by Magus
All characters by Slotman only

Check it all out at:

I have no objections, I just hope that the rest of the community doesn't rip this forum so bad that no one will come here as there are those who would consider the mediafire links "warehousing". And if they disapprove, it can go downhill quick, as they will just boycott (publicly atleast) anything this team ends up doing. I don't necessarily agree with the way the community is about things like this, but they don't seem to take too kindly to it. I just hope that it doesn't cause problems...

I asked here, i'm not going to go to other forums to ask about what they think of a possible procedure on another forum.

I will take whatever down if there are objections.

To answer your question X-Calibur quit Mugen like three times because three of his character were warehoused which were Jill, Rogue and Blaque. Blaque was leaked so he quit. This was the time where Nazi were still around  As for Slotman pulling his character off the net a few month ago which isn't the first time he has done it and said he quit. ,but the best solution is for people to request unless you what guys like KFM and Slotman coming here complaining, but it up to you. :)

a number of the mediafire linked chars i had asked permission about. i knew of slotman, that is why chars by him only stayed as request only. though i did put up a couple by him that someone tag teamed him with.

and i heard about xcb, thats why his rogue is still request only, same with batman by magus.

So you all know, there have been a few alterations in the Quick Character Database Reference Chart. Some things in vein of the convo here, and then other alterations as well, to fill it out a little more.
