Mugen Music
« on: May 06, 2009, 05:20:46 PM »
Hey guys, I currently have 270+ stages in my mugen and tons waiting to be put in. The problem is, I don't have enough music to with them. I have mainly rock/metal mp3's for my stages plus some stuff from Podigy, & Pendulum.
My latest additions have been from Megadriver.

Can anyone recommend some good songs/groups/ themetunes etc?

Once I get everythink sorted I'll release the Beast Heroes Compilation. I know I said I would before and its been stuck at 80% but thats cause I keep adding stuff and I get tired of working on it. I have way more stages in my mugen than you it seems so this will help you alot.

Just downloaded:

Final Fantasy: Dissidia OST
Onimusha: DOD OST
Armored Core 4: For Answer OST
and redownloaded DOA4 OST

I may just end here and release what I got in parts.

Where going to start a music section when I get that stuff done. hopefully I can upload tomorrow.

I know what you mean, Mugen's like Pokemon in that respect - Gotta catch em all lmao!
I don't like the hi-res mugen so my choice of stages are limted.

Well I tried a version ages ago (over a year) and it seemed to 'blow up' my normal res characters and stages so they just looked ugly, is there a way to fix that?
Plus I'd need a screenpack along the same size as EVE.

Woah! Never heard of that before. did you get the Exe out of a full game? I know that certain ones like MVC3 has like super double res so each screen looks like a huge oversized sprite and you cant see anything.

you need double res. think i got my mugen-hi from the original creators at randomselect. also I think you have to set you cfg to double res.

My cfg is at double res already but I think it was the random select one that I had, they weren't huge but they were pixely & ugly.

Hmm. I want you to check the characters pixel size in fighter factory and the cns. It might be that the characters are quad res too. some good hires characters like GG and Fubuki Sakuragasaki have double size sprites then they just set them to 0.5 by 0.5 to give them that hi res look.

I could just have you try mine. I take pride in setting it up properly.

Well,  the hi-res chars looked fine, it was the normal low res ones that looked bad.
It may have just been a crappy version or something..... If I have to put anything in each cns file though it'll be a no go for me.... way too many chars to do that lol.

I started a music topic in Discussion. You can start downloading the Beast Heroes Soundtracks.

Also this is for those who having trouble with HiRes.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=J7SSP3TS

You may need to update some characters. I still have those old cartoon characters in my select like fat albert.
They do look crappy in there but thats cause the spriting was crappy anyway.

From looking at my selection screen you can probably tell that I have normal lo res characters. they work fine. If you want a perfect mugen game you gotta put work into it. lol
