Batman Concepts

To give the Caped Crusader some special kick as a character.
he should play a little closer to his martial arts roots.

examples:
-Just Defended system
-Tech Rolls/Evades
-Parry System.

Incorporating these KOF systems into a Batman character could put him in a special niche amongst the other DC characters available.

That sounds cheap...
The truth is out there, we're just too lazy to think about it.

How so?
Why does Batman have to play like Superman?

A lack of a parry system makes a character play like Superman? How so?

An evasive roll, okay, but parry, please no.

My point is Batman should play real close to heart as the martial arts master that's part of his character this includes the ability to Parry and Counter-Attack.

my point is also making Batman wholly MVC style doesn't work for his character.
he becomes a dude who throws batarangs of several flavours.

While I see your point, I think Batman doesn't need to become a defense monster to be a great character. Evasive roll, parry, just defended AND a counter-attack? He might as well be completely invincible.

But yes, I don't really like the batarang-spamming that's so popular with the various Batmen, either.

The systems can be integrated.
Parry/Counter specifically
