Serious Movie, or Accidental Hilarity
« on: June 28, 2009, 02:44:19 PM »
Alright as many of you know superheroes and movies are not always a hit, whereas some of them are legendary (very, very select few.) But sometimes, just sometimes you get something so...hilarious you can barely even fathom what the actors/directors/producers/screenwriters/etc were thinking. This is a post dedicated to the later, atleast in my opinion.

Justice League of America (1997), directed by Flix Enrquez Alcal, starring (if you can call them that): Kimberly Oja, Miguel Ferrer, Kenny Johnston, Matthew Settle, Michelle Hurd, John Kassir and David Ogden Stiers. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this, it was a TV Pilot/Made for TV Movie, revolving around the Justice League, and members, Ice, Fire, Green Lantern (Guy Gardner), The Atom, Flash, and Martian Manhunter (a fat one at that). To see for yourself, here is a link (thank you YouTube):

Justice League of America 97 [1/9]

The user also has the remaining 8 parts of the movie posted as well as some other hilarious moments in Comic/Movie history: Captain America II: Death Too Soon and the 1990 Captain America movie.

For those of you who feel bummed after that post about the DC comics allowing that TV Pilot to even be conceived, well, Marvel did something quite similar:

Fantastic Four was originally set to be released in 1994. Mind you this was completed, and starred Alex Hyde-White, Rebecca Staab, Michael Bailey Smith, Carl Ciarfalio, Jay Underwood, and Joseph Culp. Obviously Constantin Film opted to not release the movie (if they ever really intended to do anything with it anyway...) But for your entertainment, and by entertainment, I mean sit back and enjoy the laugh-fest, I present the following:

1994 Fantastic Four Part 1

1994 Fantastic Four Part 2

1994 Fantastic Four Part 3

1994 Fantastic Four Part 4

1994 Fantastic Four Part 5

1994 Fantastic Four Part 6

1994 Fantastic Four Part 7

1994 Fantastic Four Part 8

1994 Fantastic Four Part 9

And I'm back again for your viewing pleasure with another posting. This time I present a 1994 short film, in which I believe it is a fan made movie, but still. To me this is in ways worse than the Fantastic Four, but you can make that decision for yourself:

Silver Surfer [1994]

After viewing Silver Surfer I just can say...WTF?? ??? Silver Surfer's doll?! Come on! That's not just stupid and lacks of creativity, also destroys Silver Surfer's mytho, when he came Earth the first time he was a messenger of doom, not a bully-buster!
