WIP: Savage Cyborg
« on: October 12, 2009, 09:20:45 AM »
Would really like to bring out a new line of high def characters for MUGEN.
The only real tweak would be the ground position to compensate for the offset foot stance but it's nothing too complicated. Here's my first character that will be pumped out. I have the standing pose completed but have no clue how to make a GIF with GameMaker that will repeat the minimum sprites.

Looks cool, what game is he from?

Also use this for gif animation

http://www.whitsoftdev.com/unfreez/

just drag the individual .gif frames to the left hand white box in order, then you can set the speed and create a gif with all the frames in it ;)

I hate to be the bearer of bad news..but....
If you don't know how to make a gif with Fighter Factory, how do you plan to make a full character with it?
I'm just saying don't be afraid to ask people for help with that if your new...
The truth is out there, we're just too lazy to think about it.

Seeing as I'm a graphic deisgner, I'll settle for being a sprite artist.
I never said I couldn't make a GIF with GameMaker, it's just that the GIFs cannot be looped so you have to include hundreds of frames, making the gif 13MB in size... plus I plan on getting other people to code the characters I create.

Anyway, now that you've jumped the gun... here's the standing position:

You didn't say any of that, so how was I supposed to know?
But I was just curious as to how you were going to take on the second part of making a character, be it you with help, or someone else.

It looks good but needs to be slowed down a lot (I know its only a gif but I'm just saying is all) and needs some bending in the knee and squat to the hip area, but just a tad bit. Awesome job though, but I see that if you don't create more sprites in different poses you character is going to be limited to his  movement.

I never said anything about Fighter Factory period...

Dragon, yeah I'm gonna take my time with this guy, the standing position has more upcoming sprites to it... I want it to look smoother, movement wise.

:gl: with him or her. I think it will come out great. I like the cyborg look to it, looks like something from Doom 3 W(- -)W
