Seth (from Street Fighter) Sprites
« on: May 24, 2009, 11:02:22 PM »
I dunno if this board is about non-comic books stuff, but whatevs.

I'm personally new to Sprite edits.  I'm no programmer, but I'm just surprised that no one has made anything involving Seth.  So I'm gonna try to make his his sprites. Smiley
He seems to be easy so far.  I just get Urien, change his pallette, remove his hair, and then put in that yin-yang.
Here's his first standing pose, for now.  Will make more after suggestions.
Like: are his eyes the right colour?  Is Urien really a good base? What are some to-dos? I haven't listed?
PLEASE COMMENT!!!!!!!

TO-DOs:
Zangief-style piledriver
Dhalsim-style crouch punch in air and crouching
Gouken-style Shoryuken
Charlie-style Sonic Boom
Urien's wierd special move involving a kick
Bison-style (?) yoga teleport
Crouch
Jump
Walk forwards and backwards
whatever the heck other moves he has
Pallettes
Sounds(?)
Find some guys who actually want to animate and / or program him.

Ok Ebin, my commentary would be first that the yin yang has an eyelid like border. Second, on the stretch punch, stretch from the shoulders and place the elbos in the middle. It'll look way more pro that way.
For those who are curious, yes I am gone and I don't intend to be back soon. I never formally said goodbye to you all, because that always becomes a forum stink. However, to my friends here, I wish you the best. Perhaps I'll be back one day but for now this is goodbye.

The stretch punch will be easy.  I'm not so good at the boarder of the yinyang.  Don't have much of an idea there.

like this, also I second the recomendation to use dhalsim, especially if its just a pallet swap with no stance change. urian is way overused

Ooooh.  So that's how I do the border.  Thanks! :)
I will make sure to use other characters for bases of other sprites, too, of course.

i really hope im not necro-bumping but heres something to help you.

this single seth sprite is by a gentlemen named steamboy. he is cool if you can use his sprites. the idea is to cool to be just thrown away like this.

Shading on the leg of the stretch punch is wrong, looks good, though.
I have the perfect body. (But it's in the trunk and starting to stink.)
