Pocket Megaman
« on: December 06, 2009, 04:50:49 AM »
Hello guys,

I'm here to show the progress of Pocket Megaman, for the upcoming project Pocket Dimensional Clash. To see all the detais about the project, click on my signature.

My plan is to make him have all the 75+ classic weapons, to please the old school fans (like me) :)

Let's see our blue friend:

Ops, not THAT blue friend,  LOL

Images

Charged shoot (with MM1 classic shoot and chargin sounds!)

Rock Hook

Upper

I've made all the MM1 weapons and started to make weapons randomly.

To change weapons, you need to call FlipTop (MM doesn't have a striker), who give a RANDOM weapon to him

The bar then you change color, refill itselft and show an icon to see which weapon MM is using:

Cutman

(this cutter gaves me headache! but now it acts like on the Power Battles, making circle moves)

Iceman

Gutsman

Fireman

Bombman

Elecman

Gyroman

VIDEOS

Early preview, with some bugs on Cutman's weapon (Low audio, you need to hear it loud). See the winpose!

===========================================================

That is it!
Any question or ideas, drops me a line :)

pretty funny first pic :)

i edited O's post to embed the videos...everyone check them out as he's doing some pretty cool stuff with his pocket megaman.

O', question. the only pockets i'm really familiar with are the scruffy ones. are these sort of in the same style as those?

This megaman looks awesome! Oh how I wish he wasn't a pocket character ><;;
Can you make it so that when you re-size him the projectiles go with him like some characters do? Then at least people have the choice of making him big enough to be hit by larger characters...
The truth is out there, we're just too lazy to think about it.

in a short - no, they are different. Pockets was the reason I and Magus had a fight on the past, but now we are in good terms. We have a deal that some chars would appear in both games ( I could use a char from there, and he could use a char from my project), but nothing was prepared yet. Captain Cold, for example, will be on PDC. Who from PDC gonna pop on Scruffy's project...I don't know.

Volzilla, there are some videos on my youtube channel, take a look and you will see some more info. Or, click on my banner to visit its section at Guild.

I have plans to make a normal sized Megaman with all the weapons and changing the color (Mugen 1.0+). But not for now, I have tons of things to do.

About to resize him, it can`t be done because any PDC char works only on the game.

important info

PDC's first beta was postdue to Jan 20. So we can work better on some chars.

sounds good O', and yea, i checked a few of those vids, good stuff.

downside: wait longer for beta

upside: sure the wait is worth it as more chars will be there...including from the topic i see something about pocket link of zelda fame   W(- -)W

:pittythefool: not saying it will happen as i still suck at sprite editing and i have too much on the plate already (which isnt good for someone with limited sprite skills so feel totally overwhelmed) but is there a template to use to make some of these pockets?

The upside is:

we will have a more solid game and we will have Ritcher, from Castlevania :)

Maybe Jaspion (Juspion on USA, and old 80s Sentai) too :)

Wasn't PDC at IMT? Where did it move to? Didn't you used to have a generic template for the different characters at IMT. Maybe someone could start a thread here to track the PDC project? Just confused and need clarification.  ???

IMT ans O Ilu parted ways. that is all that really needs to be said there.

however, to answer your question about how to find out about the project, click O Ilu's sig as it will take you to a full forum section hosted at MFG that goes into a ton of info on PDC.

Thanx buddy.

Volzilla already told everything that needed to be told.

About Megaman, he is ready to be released on the upcoming beta of 20 Jan.

Some others are beeing prepared, like Reayon (Power Moves), ?????? (Wonder Boy series) and Cooler (DBZ).

To track all the progress, click on my sig. Maybe I would to a sub section here (if the admins authorizes me to). Or just a post with the news.

Gohan will join too, but not for the beta...but we will use this system too:

Testing in Bison:

Danoartits I've received your edit...but its too close to the bases (its a frankensprite). If you could improve it, we could add him.
