Capcom Fighting All Stars - MUGEN Version

Capcom Fighting All Stars is a game that will bring the most representative characters from different Capcom videogames, like Ryu Street Fighter, Rose from Street Fighter Alpha, Cody from Final Fight, Leon S. Kennedy from Resident Evil 4, and more, like Strider, Haunting Ground and Megaman.

The gameplay is inspired by the versus series, including a custom tag system (done in collaboration with IMT, based on code by AeroGP, Sludge, Beximus and Trasgo7).

Chars will have (mostly) sprites inspired by the Capcom Vs. SNK series, as well as the Marvel Vs. Capcom series. We're doing our best keeping the sprites with a unique style as much as possible.

There will be a system to unlock content like characters and stages.

FAQ

Q: Those are a lot of characters!!! How many of those are done?
R: Sprite-wise (also considering sprites done by Capcom itself), almost 3/4 of characters are done/close to be done. The others are WIP's.
Code-wise, just a pair are done, while the others are being coded. We have permission for some characters, like Hauzer, Megaman and Hayato, and even if they're coded, I'm talking only about the chars done in our current template (tag system implemented).


Q: Can we expect a demo soon?
A: Yes. Characters and stages are still being decided.

Q: Out of all of those characters, which ones are unlockables?
A: (Considering Ingrid as a row) Rows 2, 3, 9 & 10 are going to be unlockables.

I thiking to join you on this project (because I had a idea to make a crossoever game, but it would be Capcom X Marvel X DC, but its just an idea), but I have to see if i will have free time enough.

I have some ideas for you, just give me some time.

I liked the diamond shaped select screen, its a nice idea. But there is something on that image that I don't like.

I will post more ideas soon

I think is a good idea ^^ and are u gonna add rival schools chars?? IMO the screenpack needs more work ( U made it with photoshop)... doesnt look a game-skin/screenpack. Im try  to do a logo for you

And will you use CVS sprites with MVC ones? I think you shouldn't do that, but its my opinion. The only CVS chars that could be appear in CVS style are Maki, Eagle and the guy from Rival Schools.

Hello Bowasiel!!! Thanks!!! Don't worry for the SP, it will get more and more updates as time goes on, like the lifebars, thanks to the support from a lot of guys (some from IMT and MugenLatinoamerica).
Rival Schools chars, well... maybe Kyosuke would appear, but you will get more info as soon as I work on the game. Thanks for the logo!!! And yes, I speak spanish buddy.

About the sprites, for now, I will work with the MvC/SFA/DS sprites. I would get some troubles with chars like Alex, Yun or Leo, but I will try to figure if one pallete could be helpful, or in a extreme case, a complete "redesign" of the sprites.

Yeah, I think that Parry is the second most cheapest thing on games (the first is Just Defend).

Something crossed my mind: remember the old World Heroes, where you can reflect projectiles by defending it at the last moment? But this could be a pain to code.

Yeah, I think you're right about the parry. Now comes to my mind the EVO tournament with SF3...

About the projectile deflection, even when it sounds interesting, could let some characters with this special feature (Rose is one I can list), and yes, as you say, It would be really hard to code it.

Thanks for the sprite!!! It would be a great help for the characters that need to be adapted.

some ideas:

- we can talk with Gate, to ask his authorization to use Shadowman (megaman) here
- We could put one striker per char (mandatory), so we can reduce the redundant chars (ryu, ken, dan, akuma, etc, etc) because some of they will appear as strikers. For example: Ryu/ Ken (striker), Guile/Nash (striker) and so on.
- we can have a new combo system
(the air combo), like the first luancher just send the p2 a it high on the air (like Arcana Heart) then you do a combo and launchs p2 high and the air and to another combo
- Chain moves and Chain Finishers: kinda lika DREAM CANCEL from KOF, but my idea is to use something I made on my Red Cyclone.
- we need to define the SPARKS and the effects RIGHT NOW.

Only if isn't a symbiote other than Venom (or other that isn't a poor made-up character) in the roster  ;D

1. That would be indeed a great addition to the roster :).
2. I had a similar idea some time ago, but with the strikers being different from the normal characters, as cameos. Don't worry for the shotos, even when you COULD look for a little more in the roster preview, for now, there will be only Ryu, Ken and maybe Akuma, so, don't expect for a Dan/Sean/Sakura, at least, for the principal roster.
3. This sounds interesting, I haven't seen that system. I will try to take a look in YouTube to try and find some videos about it  :).

5. Of course. I discussed with Akito some time ago that they could be from CvS, but I'm always open to suggestions.
