Great job on him, I've just noticed that this hyper does too much damage even if you are blocking it, he also lasts a very long time performing it.
Hope you can fix it, I'm enjoying him a lot  :love:



P.S: I tried against Alucard's Batman.

I thought I fixed that last night.That problem should of been fixed I tested again Super Skrull and I didn't get that high damage

Nope, i tested it yesterday, Super Skrull vs Batman Beyond and still take alot of damage when super skrull is in defense position. (Im using winmugen) and i have the last version that you fixed, so i think you should check it again.

Try this open the BeyondSuper.cns go to statedef 73305 I have the damage set to 9.7. it could be just in issue with the R.C mugen where I don't see the damage, but I don't know.

Ok i did it and has the same damage as you said, you should try checking the damage dampenering code, it s in the state -2 in beyond.cns file (the one in the commands folder). This code shouldn t work in the hypermoves, cuz it takes more damage that it should be.

Try changing that number to something lower like 5,7 or something and see if it get toned down. I'll take a look at what you suggested.

You know what I figure out the problem got to statedef -2 and look for this code

[State -2, Damage Dampener]; Full damage
type= attackmulset
trigger1= numenemy
trigger1= enemynear,movetype!=H || (enemynear,stateno=[120,155])
value= 1.0
ignorehitpause= 1

change it to this

[State -2, Damage Dampener]; Full damage
type= null;attackmulset
trigger1= numenemy
trigger1= enemynear,movetype!=H || (enemynear,stateno=[120,155])

ignorehitpause= 1

Basically the damage does full damage if the opponent blocks  the attack. :D'OH:

- F+c throw uses non standard animations. On some characters, it will make them disappear in air, such as SPO Ryu by Rikard (in state 831, changed to invalid action 832).
- The taunt where he shows his back looks really odd, because his feet stay in position, but he's turned his back, so the feet/legs actually switched place by magic.
- When he jumps, his feet go in the ground for a few ticks. Misalignment issue.
- Most of his standing basics are misaligned. Look at his feet, they move all over the place while one of them is supposed to stay on place.
- Batarang misses at close range (only touches when they come back).
- Grapple Hook performed very close to the opponent will put him in hit state, but the hook part won't touch him, so he'll stay in his custom state until you hit him.
- Why does Batman pass on the other side of the opponent at the end of medium Flight-Attack ?
- Bat-Armor doesn't look nice. Basically, the 3 hits are too slow and show no power. Plus, the opponent can recover in the air before the last hit.
- Electric-Flight can be done 3 times in a row. Well, at least the dampener kicks in correctly, so that's a good thing.
- Hitsparks' animation is too long IMO, and looks slow, but that's me.

Open up the special.cns go to statedef 831 and delete this two codes

[State 831, ChangeAnim2 1]

The debug error happened because the code tried to look for that particular animation and it doesn't it.

This is going to require a bit of spriting in order for it to look right unless we use existing sprites. I'll have to check.

I'm aware of this issue, but I decided not to do anything about it because the bat range come from behind and hit you. Will probably put the hit box on the arm.

I think it the ticks they are set to 2 ticks per frame so I guess by setting them to 1 that would make faster, but I haven't tested it

I think they are fantastic.

Then again I think the sprites from that awful cartoon "The Batman" look horrid.

I like the speed theyre at, but as far as the recovery goes I did notice that problem. It didnt used to do that so somehow the fall recovery must have a typo or was removed? I gotta check that.

Meh, it's a taunt, not too worried about it right now, might be something for the future if someone wants to add a couple turn sprites. I like it enough for the moment it doesnt really bother me.

I was just poking about trying out different pallets on my roster and found that on Beyond all three of the transparent "stealth pallets" default to AI control even if you choose them in Training, Arcade, VS, ect. No problems with any of the other pallets or "Joker Mode" (that should teach me to read those "readme" files), just the transparent ones. Otherwise, a very nice character.

Batman Beyond is being updated by me and a few others the issue you mention I have already fixed. Expect an update in the future. :) The last release was basically to fix the problems people found in his first release since he had a lot of problems. There were still a lot of bugs in this last release that I'm surprise that me and few others didn't catch. @@ He is now 100% recoded on the Gotham Template. :)
